We are Barbara and Clemens, trained biologists and passionate sailors, but it is only with our great team that we become MCO Sailing.

As a biologist and skipper, Barbara is responsible for background research into the eco-cruise areas, biological guidance, and route planning. As Clemens’ partner, she also contributes to keeping him balanced.

Alex is a former top athlete and trainer, and therefore probably the prototype of an MCO team instructor. He dedicates his wealth of experience, his social skills, and his “sharp pedagogical edge” to our work every day. He has been leading the MCO courses in the Solent since 2018 and is highly appreciated by both his trainees and his teammates.

60 years of sailing experience, Inshore and offshore regattas, Yachtmaster instructor, skipper trainer and chief instructor of the RYA training center “Atlantic Sailing” – these are just a few of his impressive milestones. With this wealth of experience and his almost infinite patience, he not only creates a safe learning environment for sailing beginners, but also gives experienced sailors the confidence to master the challenges of the sea with sovereignty.

Maik is our man for reliable weather forecasts and yacht routing. Based in Iceland, he has a complete meteorological overview and, no matter how complicated the weather situation, he’s always on top of things. We have full confidence in our Icelandic weatherman.

Michi has been our base manager in Arrecife in the sunny Canary Islands since January 2022. He is a highly qualified sailor and a real people person. We cannot and do not want to imagine MCO without Michi.

Dominik has spent a lot of time on the water ever since he was a child. The experienced ocean sailor worked as a sailing instructor in Konstanz for many years, where he acquired his teaching skills. We are very grateful to have Dominik on our team and look forward to our future together.
